The ASCO Model 160 Surge Protective Device is a 16-channel coax SPD implementing three-stage hybrid technology. The SPD addresses overvoltage transients with a primary Gas Discharge Tube (GDT), and secondary Silicon Avalanche Diode (SAD) components. Sneak and fault currents are mitigated with new solid-state resettable fuses — PTCs. The Model 160 rackmount unit is designed in accordance with NFPA 780 (2004 edition) requirements, with up to 20 kA of surge current capability.
The ASCO Model 186 Surge Protective Device is a 19” rackmount, 48-channel modular high-speed data line surge protector that utilizes a three-stage hybrid design topology to protect critical Category 6 equipment from damaging transient voltages. The Model 186 is ideal for network switches, hubs and other sensitive IT equipment.
The ASCO Model 247 (Islatrol® RM) Rackmount Surge Protective Device is ideal for protecting the power feeding valuable rack equipment. Status LEDs indicate the correct power is coming to the unit, whether the unit is properly grounded and whether the surge components are still intact. Units are available with an optional digital meter, mounted on the front of the unit, which will monitor the voltage, current and power of the protected equipment.
